Nestled in the picturesque village of Poljanica Bistrička near Marija Bistrica in the heart of Hrvatsko Zagorje, you’ll find Jožekova hiža – a perfect holiday house. Head of the Tomurad family, Jožek, the father of the owner Mihaela and a beloved local, was born in this house in 1952. Built around 1930, the house underwent a thoughtful renovation starting in 2021 in his honor, proudly bearing his name.

During the renovation, the original size of the house was preserved. Spanning 130 square meters, it features two bedrooms, a cozy living room, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.

Our house was rebuilt from a desire to reconnect with nature. Surrounded by the untouched beauty of Zagorje’s landscapes and embraced by green hills, we offer you a chance to escape daily stress and immerse yourself in the songs of birds, fresh air, and soothing silence. Jožekova hiža is a place for those seeking a lost connection with nature, as well as families – far from city noise, stress, and the hustle of modern life. Every detail of our home is carefully crafted to ensure your comfort, whether you’re sipping morning coffee on the terrace, strolling the surroundings, or drifting to sleep to the gentle rustle of the wind.

Our goal is simple – to provide you with a peaceful retreat in Hrvatsko Zagorje and countless moments with your loved ones in the warmth of a house that has been our family’s home, refuge, and a treasure trove of memories to last forever.
